Lyrics

STAND YOUR GROUND
(Written by Ann M. Wolf in honor of the politically persecuted here is the USA and across the world.)

Verse 1:
My Father always taught that I could speak
And on Freedom make a stand
My Father always spoke of those who gave
So much to hold this land
My Father always said that I should live
In a way that would bring honor
And work to keep the vision high
Of our Forefathers
Our wisdom scholars

Chorus:
He’d say, “Freedom today, can be gone tomorrow!
Wake Up, Look Around!
And hold to Freedom with all your strength
And Stand Your Ground!”

Verse 2:
Now I find myself behind these walls
With silence as companion
Re-living in my mind, the cyclone days
That brought me to where I am
I can still hear my family’s cries
As they shackled me away
But the truth still burns inside my soul
As I pray in here today
I wait today

Chorus:
Freedom today, can be gone tomorrow
Wake Up, Look Around!
Hold to Freedom with all your strength
And Stand Your Ground!

Bridge:
You are my voice while I am rendered voiceless
So, R-I-S-E Up and Speak while you have choices!

Chorus:
Freedom today, can be gone tomorrow
Wake Up, Look Around!
Hold to Freedom with all your strength
And Stand Your Ground!

Freedom today, can be gone tomorrow
Wake Up, Look Around!
Hold to Freedom with all your strength
And Stand Your Ground!
Stand Your Ground!
Stand Your Ground!
