  1. The Ride Home

Lyrics

THE RIDE HOME
(“A Ride Home” was written by Ann M. Wolf to honor our POW/MIAs as well as the efforts of POW/MIA advocacy group, "Honor, Release, Return," having held the largest annual assemblies of POWs and MIA families in American history. Today, Ann also recognizes those held in prison without due process in the foreign territory of D.C. among other gulags across the planet.")

Verse One:
You’ve been there
As our missing and our fallen
You’ve been there
And the worst of what life offers
Had to bear
While we at home hoped that you
Could feel our constant prayers

Verse Two:
You’ve been there
Imprisoned in the depths of silence
You’ve been there
Often forgotten, with no mercy
Had to bear
And we at home
Hoped that you
Could feel our constant prayer

Chorus:
That you would Ride Home
Soon on wings of angels
Ride Home
To a grateful Nation
You’d ’Ride Home
So we could have you close to us again!

Verse Three:
And now we stand
Working together from all corners
Of our land
We keep a place in our heart
And wear your band
We will not move
Until you all come home again

Chorus:
That you would Ride Home
Soon on wings of angels
Ride Home
To a grateful Nation
You’ll Ride Home
So we can have you close to us again!

Bridge:
Taking the cause to the people
And story to The Hill
No stone unturned we’ll leave
A promise to fulfill….

Chorus:
And you will Ride Home
Soon on wings of angels
Ride Home
To a grateful Nation
You’ll Ride Home
So we can have you close to us again!

Chorus:
That you would Ride Home
Soon on wings of angels
Ride Home
To a grateful Nation
You’ll Ride Home
So we can have you close to us again!
So we can have you close to us again!
So we can have you close to us…
Again!
