INVOCATION FOR 1ST-RESPONDERS

In Isaiah 6:8 we read, “Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.” (KJV)

Rushing to places where angels fear to tread, they are our 1st-Responders, Law Enforcement, our Chaplains, and Medical Teams, at times working together under extreme or deeply challenging conditions.

It is for these public servants that we offer this invocation today, for the ones who answered The Call; and we pray as well for their families who wait hopefully, each day, for their loved ones to return home, safely…

Therefore…
For those who have pledged to support and uphold the Constitution…
For those who rise each morning and deploy toward danger to serve and protect…considering first, the imminent needs of citizens who are in need of rescue or urgent care, no matter what the cost to themselves might be…
For those who have pledged to first, do no harm and to secure life; and when possible, to facilitate the healing and restoration of others and do so while seeking to uphold the terms of their Oath…
For those who have not asked the religion, political affiliations, cultural practices, or other personal preferences, in order to render aid and service…
For those who have battled exhaustion and heartbreak, enduring long years of service, often having served troubled souls in their worst moments, some who may have rendered scorn or hate in return for care…
For those who have faithfully and tirelessly battled difficult conditions to bring spiritual comfort to the ill, wounded, and bereaved as well as honor and remember the fallen…
For those who themselves have suffered injuries and deep wounds, seen and unseen, sustained from service…
And finally, for those who have given all…

Lord, for these immeasurable sacrifices, we offer our profound thanks, even when there are no words that can fully express our appreciation. And Lord, we humbly continue in prayer without ceasing, that they and their families might be blessed as only You, our Heavenly Father can bless. We pray that they will feel Your Divine Presence surrounding them and remaining with them, every moment Lord, guiding them, protecting them; as we also pray for Your provision for their every need. May they continue to follow Your Voice in all matters of service, seeking and following Your path of wisdom. And may they feel Your strength and Hope fill them as they continue in the honorable completion of Your Mission for their lives.
By the Authority of the Name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
